Position Overview Our client, a well-established commercial general contractor, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its Fort Myers team. This individual will oversee complex commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a strong background managing ground-up commercial construction projects, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to build lasting relationships with owners, subcontractors, design teams, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Lead all phases of commercial construction projects, from preconstruction and budgeting through closeout.

Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost-control procedures.

Oversee subcontractor procurement, contract negotiations, change orders, and payment applications.

Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and field supervision to maintain project milestones.

Identify project risks, resolve challenges, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.

Maintain strict adherence to safety standards, quality-control requirements, and contractual obligations.

Lead project teams, mentor Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers, and promote accountability.

Conduct regular project reviews and communicate progress, financial performance, and potential issues to leadership.

Manage client relationships and support repeat business and long-term partnerships.

Qualifications7+ years of commercial construction experience, including significant project management responsibility.

Proven experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects from start to finish.

Experience overseeing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and contract administration.

Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, building codes, and project delivery methods.

Demonstrated leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency with construction project management software and scheduling tools.

Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong client relationships.
