Position Objective: This position is responsible for leading and driving a creative team to develop an elevated branded and cohesive aesthetic across an omni-channel structure. This role will be focused on developing and elevating the WHBM’s brand DNA through an elevated perspective and connecting the dots between the brand, the product and the audience. This role will be focused on leading the development of engaging assets that tell a brand and product story that elicits an emotional response from our current and future customers – across all touchpoints.

This position works closely with cross‑functional partners to deliver content that supports the brand’s business objectives. This position is instrumental in building and maintaining brand creative integrity across all channels.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Manages the creative process from concept to completion. Works closely with leaders to drive concepting, shoot execution and asset management.
  • Partners with creative leaders and senior art directors to conceptualize shoots, including pre‑ and post‑production.
  • Leads the brand asset strategy post‑shoot; ensures a clear and brand‑right vision is set for the team to develop omni‑channel assets with an aligned point of view.
  • Conceptualizes, leads, develops and presents the brand assets post‑shoots; accounts for ensuring the content by channel meets brand objectives and maintains brand integrity.
  • Translates marketing objectives into clear creative strategies.
  • Owns the creative workflow process for all channels and manages all creative aspects with a hands‑on approach.
  • Ensures copy and art are aligned to deliver the brand story with a design aesthetic that is elevated, cohesive and consistent.
  • Keeps up to date on current trends, fashion, popular culture, social media and competitive landscape.
  • Uses customer data to inform creative/marketing decisions; partners with brand marketing team to ensure customer mindset is centered at all that we do.
  • Partners with cross‑functional partners on casting, photographers, location and talent.
  • Partners with project managers to establish/maintain product life‑cycle deliverables and deadlines; must be able to be a voice for realistic work time needed to deliver quality work.
  • Ensures brands individuality and standards in all marketing channels.
  • Values individuality and the diverse talents of the team. Leads the team by communicating expectations, providing guidance, delivering feedback, and empowering the team to be their best.

This position may be found in multiple brands. Some duties may vary from brand to brand.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree required; preferably in Fine Arts, Graphic Arts or a related field.
  • 8+ years of Art Direction/Creative Direction experience;
    Fashion and Style experience.
  • Vertical retail omni experience a plus; intimate understanding of fashion, graphic design, copy and web best practices/guidelines.
  • Experience in directing still and video shoots both in studio and on location.
  • An excellent eye for retail/fashion color management.
  • Mac proficiency including Adobe Suites.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Ability to multi‑task.
  • Experience managing a creative team.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complicated problems quickly.
