• Create and develop product for an assigned category or categories from start to finish.
• Support the design team to execute the seasonal concept direction and line.
• Plan style development, adhering to margin requirements and timely completion of product.

I’ve spent my career here at Chico’s FAS and I’ve been grateful for my path that was not always straight. I started in Merchandising and then shifted into Product Development. I’m now a Senior Designer for the Chico’s brand and without those first steps in my journey, I would not have been able to grow in my current role. My Journey couldn’t have happened without the company’s focus on internal professional growth.

• Bachelor’s degree in Design required
• 3+ years’ in the apparel design industry, preferably contemporary market
• Outstanding sketching and presentation skills
• Excellent silhouette and trend forecasting ability
• Strong sense and passion for print, pattern, details and trim that make the brand and product unique
• Computer proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and Word
• InDesign and Micrographx experience preferred
• Solid understanding of fit, fabrics, finishes and construction a plus
• The ability to create or visualize an idea and produce a design by hand or using CAD a plus
