Requirements:Fellowship Trained and Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine (Pulmonary and/or Cardiac Training is a plus but not required)
Active, unrestricted Florida DEA
Lee Health Pulmonology in coordination with Lee Health Heart Institute is actively looking for a nocturnist to join our growing team. This position is a unique opportunity to work on-site a 7-on/7-off schedule (12-hour shifts) supporting the CT ICU and Advanced Heart Failure unit, which will be growing to up to 28 beds.
Note, this position is specifically for on-site nights coverage and must remain on the cardiac floors for the entirety of the shift.
The right candidate will be competent in all aspects of critical care medicine including but not limited to intubation, ventilation management, central lines, arterial lines, and chest tubes. Furthermore, these physicians will be closely monitoring the hemodynamics of this high-acuity patient population while supporting VA ECMO, Mechanical Circulatory Devices, as well as other advanced therapy and treatment specific to the Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Surgery patient population.
Our highly-skilled team is willing to train the right physician to gain full competency in support of the ECMO, VAD, and AHF patient as this service line grows.
The service line is supported by our ICU Medical Directors, Advanced Heart Failure Medical Director, Cardiologists, and Advanced Practice Providers.
