Daniels Road Baptist Church

Daniels Road Baptist Church (DRBC) is seeking a full-time Associate Pastor & Worship Leader to assist in shepherding the church through preaching, teaching, discipleship, and ministry leadership. This individual will also oversee the youth and young adult ministries, children’s ministry coordination, and worship leadership. The ideal candidate is a theologically grounded, spiritually mature leader with a pastor’s heart, a strong teaching gift, and musical ability to lead corporate worship.

Primary Areas of Accountability Preaching & Teaching

• Assist the lead pastor in preaching and teaching responsibilities.
• Teach and disciple church members, with a focus on youth, young adults, and families.
• Lead Bible studies and discussions for student and young adult ministries.
• Participate in baptisms, communion services, and other pastoral functions as needed.

Youth & Young Adult Ministry Leadership

• Provide vision, leadership, and oversight to the DRBC Student Ministry (youth group).
• Plan and facilitate weekly youth Bible studies and regular discipleship activities.
• Foster a gospel-centered environment that encourages spiritual growth among students.
• Develop and lead DRBC Young Adult Ministry (College, Young Married, and Early Career ages), organizing Bible studies, discussions, and fellowship opportunities.

Children’s Ministry Oversight

• Provide leadership and oversight to DRBC’s children’s ministries.
• Work with ministry leaders and volunteers to ensure biblical teaching and effective programs.
• Assist in planning and reviewing curriculum, policies, and events.
• Oversee the selection of leadership and curriculum for Vacation Bible School (VBS).

Shepherding & Church Leadership

• Engage in pastoral care, including hospital visits, counseling, and community outreach.
• Attend and contribute to monthly deacon meetings, providing ministry updates.
• Model Christ-like leadership in personal and family life, encouraging healthy spiritual habits among the congregation.

Worship Leadership Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the worship ministry in alignment with the church’s conservative contemporary Christian style, incorporating traditional hymns and contemporary worship (e.g., Sovereign Grace Music, Getty, and similar).
• Plan and lead congregational worship, ensuring selections are doctrinally sound and suitable for corporate singing.
• Play a lead instrument (guitar or piano preferred) while leading worship.
• Lead rehearsals with vocalists and instrumentalists, developing a well-prepared worship team.
• Work with sound/media volunteers to ensure seamless service execution.
• Proficient at using audio-visual equipment and worship software (e.g., Pro Presenter).

Spiritual, Theological, and Other Requirements

• Must be a mature believer with a godly testimony and lifestyle, committed to a biblically faithful, Christ-centered ministry.
• Must meet the qualifications for a pastor as outlined in Scripture.
• Must fully affirm the doctrinal statement of Daniels Road Baptist Church.
  A theological degree is preferred (Bachelor’s or Master’s in Ministry, Theology, or a related field).
• Must be a married man, demonstrating strong biblical leadership to his wife and in his home (Titus 1:6, 1 Timothy 3:4-5).
• Preferred, but not required: Experience in Leadership in a church setting).

• Gift of leadership (demonstrated ability to lead, equip, and mobilize others in ministry).
• Gift of administration (ability to oversee and organize ministry programs and volunteers effectively).
• Gift of hospitality (ability to create an inviting culture, lead home fellowships, and foster meaningful fellowship within the church).
