Life Prep Christian Academy is seeking a Christ-centered Science Teacher to serve students in grades 6–12, covering Life Science, Earth Science, Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics through a Christian homeschool curriculum. You'll help students see God's fingerprints in creation while building the critical thinking and inquiry skills that rigorous science education demands.
Designed for optimal work-life balance, this part-time position offers a three-day (Mon-Wed, 08:00AM-04:00PM) weekly schedule with summers and holidays off. You will join a supportive, close-knit community that fosters academic excellence while nurturing students' spiritual growth in a small-class setting.

- Teach science courses across grades 6–12 using a Christian homeschool curriculum
- Plan engaging lessons that build scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and real-world application
- Lead hands-on experiments, labs, and project-based learning
- Differentiate instruction across multiple grade levels in a multi-age classroom
- Provide individualized feedback and communicate student progress to parents and administration
- Integrate biblical principles meaningfully into science instruction
- Collaborate with fellow teachers on cross-curricular and school-wide initiatives
- Support students academically, socially, and spiritually
- A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with our Statement of Faith
- 2+ years of teaching experience (classroom or homeschool)
- Strong knowledge of middle and high school science across multiple disciplines
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A joyful, flexible, team-oriented attitude
- Preferred (not required): experience with Christian homeschool or hybrid curricula; familiarity with Montessori, Reggio Emilia, project-based, or experiential learning models;
Florida teaching certification; CPR/First Aid certification.
