The HVAC Instructor is a full-time, on-site role located in Fort Myers, FL. This role is responsible for delivering classroom and lab instruction in HVAC systems, safety practices, and industry standards, using an approved curriculum and practical demonstrations. The instructor prepares lesson plans, teaches core concepts and hands-on skills, evaluates learner performance through assessments, and provides constructive feedback. Daily responsibilities include maintaining equipment and training labs, monitoring adherence to safety protocols, and updating instructional materials to reflect current codes and technologies.

The HVAC Instructor also supports learner success by offering guidance, mentoring, and ongoing academic support, while collaborating with colleagues and administration to meet program goals and compliance requirements.

• HVAC expertise, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and understanding of relevant codes and safety standards.
• Teaching and training skills, with experience delivering technical instruction and supporting diverse learners.
• Curriculum development abilities, including creating or adapting lesson plans, lab activities, and assessments for HVAC programs.
• Working knowledge of plumbing concepts and systems relevant to HVAC and building services.
• Prior experience in a postsecondary, trade school, or apprenticeship training environment is highly beneficial.
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to demonstrate and enforce safety procedures in workshop and lab settings.
• HVAC certification, licensure, or journeyperson status; additional industry credentials are a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; postsecondary technical training or related degree preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Fort Myers, FL and collaborate effectively with staff and administration.
