What You’ll Do- Preparation of design plans, specifications, and reports for a variety of water/wastewater and stormwater projects including transmission, distribution, collection, treatment, storage, utility master planning, permitting, and various engineering tasks.
- Hydraulic modeling including stormwater pre/post and advanced treatment and storage design, as well as water and sewer pumping systems and hydraulic water distribution modeling.
- Interact with public and private clients and other jurisdictional agencies to gather and analyze requirements.
- Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks, developing judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
- Review design plans and compare them to accepted municipal standards and details.
- Prepare engineering calculations, develop drawings, and create visual aids.
- Conduct field research, data collection, data analysis, graphics, maps, and data presentation; develop reports.
- Manage time and workload to stay on schedule and within budget.
- Travel occasionally to assist with site investigations, construction observation, and project transmittals.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or an Environmental focus.
- E.I Certificate preferred or eligible and scheduled for FE exam.
- Detail‑oriented individual with strong technical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing, and standard office software.
- Collaborative team player with ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong oral presentation and written communication skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, Water
CAD, ICPR, and other modeling software preferred. - Valid state‑issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
