Shift: Shift 1 (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)

Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $21.01 – $24.69 / hour

Provides high-quality diagnostic electrophysiographic exams in accordance with the policies and procedures that are provided by the Lee Health Cardiovascular Department. Technicians must be proficient in performing EKGs, rhythm strips, stress tests, and Holter monitoring. The position requires participation in "on call" rotation, availability for overtime, and ability to work flexible hours and days of the week, including weekends, as determined per specific department needs.

Education:

Degree/Diploma obtained – Program of Study (required).

Experience:

Preferred and/or High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
Minimum Years

Required:

Preferred and/or 2 Years EKG Technician I. Preferred and/or 2 Years EKG Technician II (minimum 2 years experience as EKG Technician II – performing EKG, stress, and Holter monitors).
State of Florida Licensure:
Licenses – required.

Certifications:

BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support) – required. Proof of BLS at time of hire. Basic EKG certification required within 6 months of hire date. Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) preferred.
Other:
Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills.
