You will be at the heart of HR operations, handling a wide range of responsibilities across benefits, retirement, performance management, wellness, leave administration, and more.

Key Responsibilities- Benefits Administration:
Administer employee and retiree benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary plans; serve as the main point of contact for employee benefits inquiries and troubleshooting; conduct benefits orientations for new hires; support annual open enrollment activities; maintain accurate benefit records; reconcile monthly benefit records; collaborate with vendors and brokers to resolve eligibility or claims issues. - Retirement Plan Administration:
Manage day-to-day operations of retirement plans (FRS, 401(a), 457(b)); coordinate with Finance on monthly file submissions and related tasks; track employee retirement statuses; organize and facilitate informational sessions; ensure compliance with plan requirements. - Leave of Absence Administration:
Administer employee leave programs (FMLA, ADA, personal leave, etc.); act as primary contact for employees on leave; track leaves and ensure compliance; work with managers and payroll on return-to-work processes. - Wellness Program Coordination:
Develop and promote wellness initiatives; partner with vendors and internal teams; monitor participation and outcomes to evaluate program impact. - Compensation and Classification:
Support maintenance of job classification and compensation systems; collaborate on salary surveys and market analysis; assist in drafting and updating job descriptions; maintain organizational chart. - Performance Management:
Oversee day-to-day tasks of the performance management program; ensure appraisal processes are followed; support system usage and best practices; maintain and troubleshoot the performance management system; analyze and report on performance trends and program effectiveness. - Other HR Projects:
Participate in and lead HR-related projects aligned with organizational goals and process improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 3–5 years of generalist HR experience with exposure to benefits, leave, performance management, and compliance.
- Solid knowledge of employment and benefits laws and regulations (FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, ERISA).
- Experience with HRIS systems and benefits platforms.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with performance management tools.
This is a full-time, onsite role in Fort Myers, FL. The work involves standard office conditions and the ability to work with confidential information. The salary range and other compensation details reflect the starting rate mentioned above.
