This is a responsible, independent, and technical entry‑level position working under the supervision of the Chief Information Officer. It involves developing, documenting, testing, performance‑tuning, and supporting computer applications and processes used by Administrative Office of the Courts’ users. The role meets with users, analyzes and resolves program problems, debugs and tests existing and new applications, and works with a variety of personnel and vendors.
This position requires on‑site presence and is not remote. All tasks should be performed to a high level of quality in accordance with the AOC policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Key duties include:
- Analyze, locate, and resolve problems in various AOC computer applications, including ad‑hoc queries, stored procedures, and SQL jobs on Microsoft SQL Server.
- Provide support for end‑user issues and work with programming staff to modify stored procedures, queries, database schemas, and application programs.
- Perform data validation and cleanup to improve performance and user experience.
- Debug and test existing and new applications, compiling and modifying code as needed.
- Develop and prepare documentation for system designs and user instructions.
- Develop applications in client/server environments and support Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Maintain Crystal Reports and Microsoft Word templates independently and within applications.
- Act as backup to Internet/Intranet developers and other Programmer Analysts.
- Travel occasionally for meetings and trainings.
- Develop new applications by analyzing needs, designing, coding, documenting, and implementing them.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Program in or C# in .NET Framework for Win Forms and web services.
- Write and comprehend complex SQL queries in conjunction with or C# applications.
- Perform backend programming using T‑SQL for database triggers, functions, stored procedures, and SQL jobs.
- Create Crystal Reports and modify Microsoft Word documents for Windows applications.
- Interpret user problem reports to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
- Read and write technical and user documentation.
- Work effectively as a team member and independently, meeting deadlines.
- Maintain consistent attendance; travel to meet users and attend training.
- Maintain CJIS Security Awareness Training – Level 4.
Bachelor’s degree from a 4‑year college or university in computer science, management information systems, or related field. Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended education on a year‑for‑year basis.
- At least two years of experience in systems analysis and programming.
- At least one year of experience with Microsoft SQL Server database tools and query writing.
- At least one year of experience developing .NET applications (, C#, ASP.NET) and using HTML/JavaScript for web design.
- At least one year of experience writing PL/SQL or T‑SQL triggers, functions, stored procedures, and managing jobs.
- At least one year of experience writing Crystal Reports.
- Experience in the court system is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Maintain CJIS Security Awareness Training – Level 4.
