Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Project Management or closely related field
  • Three years of experience leading or managing large-scale IT projects
  • PMP or PgMP certification
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using/managing  project management software
  • Experience using/managing Procore project management software
  • Experience using Service Now IT Service Management System
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinates and drives delivery across software vendors, stakeholders, and construction teams
  • Manages a matrix of internal teams and remote resources to ensure timely project delivery
  • Manages issues as they arise and mitigates risks to avoid impact to project delivery and timelines
  • Aligns project interests with enterprise strategy (architectural standards, etc.)
  • Ensures compliance with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Effectively manages allocated funds to deliver projects within budget
  • Coordinate project activities across a matrix of cross-functional teams and with other LCPA departments
  • Methodology Expertise:
    Deep knowledge of various project management frameworks, such as:
    • Waterfall:
      For sequential, highly structured projects.
    • Agile/Scrum/Kanban:
      For iterative, flexible projects common in software development
  • Scope Management:
    Defining and controlling what is and is not included in the project (the scope) to prevent "scope creep."
  • Scheduling & Time Management:
    Developing detailed project schedules, setting realistic timelines, identifying the critical path, and managing dependencies to ensure timely delivery
  • Budget & Financial Management:
    Estimating project costs, developing the budget, tracking expenses, and managing financial resources throughout the project life cycle
  • Tool Proficiency:
    Expertise in using project management software like  and Procore
  • Communication & Stakeholder Management:
    Effectively conveying complex information to all audiences (technical to executive), managing their expectations, and securing necessary buy-in
  • Conflict Resolution & Problem-Solving:
    Addressing disagreements promptly and effectively, and making timely, informed decisions under pressure.
Emergency Response/Recovery Activities

Lee County Port Authority personnel are designated by tier levels and may be called upon to assist with an emergency or unforeseen event at any time. Employees may be called to fulfill duties that are outside their normal scope of work to assist in resuming airport operations and flight activities.
