Overview
Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida, Inc. is seeking an IT Generalist for full-time work based in Fort Myers, Florida, with location at Tice Opportunity Center. The organization serves people with disabilities and disadvantages through mission services, retail and donated goods, and business development.
Responsibilities- Provide great customer service and support on all technology issues across all Goodwill facilities including Stores, Main Office, Community Resource Centers, and PTO.
- Perform information systems administrative procedures and maintain documentation covering data control, applications training, data coordination and scheduling, data security administration, and related tasks.
- Work on projects of limited complexity in a support role and work independently on technology installations and troubleshooting.
Applicants must have 1–3 years of extensive knowledge in IT operations, computer hardware, software and peripherals, and have a working knowledge of installing, configuring, upgrading, troubleshooting and repairing equipment. University degree or college diploma in computing or information technology or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Required Skills- Collaborate with user departments during design and installation phases and provide information to fulfill project reporting requirements.
- Keep all company systems updated with the latest software; evaluate system upgrades and new software.
- Provide technical support for computers, servers, WAN/LAN, printers, registers, fax machines, credit card machines, POS systems, and software.
- Ensure disaster recovery readiness to prevent data loss in events like fire or flood; conduct periodic audits on-site and off-site to verify effectiveness.
- Knowledge of communications hardware/software techniques; strong problem-solving and project management skills; ability to work in a team; capacity to lift up to 50 lbs; valid Florida driver's license and personal vehicle for travel.
