Are you a tech-savvy problem solver who enjoys helping others? Lee County Utilities is looking for a Technology Systems Specialist to support the technology that keeps our Customer Service Center running smoothly. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that our billing, collections, call center, and cashiering teams can serve customers efficiently and effectively.
What You’ll Do- Provide technical support for the Customer Service Center staff, including the Customer Service Manager, call center, billing & collections, and cashiering teams.
- Troubleshoot and assist staff with software applications, especially our customer service billing software.
- Collaborate closely with software vendors to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues, ensuring timely solutions and minimal disruption to business operations.
- Operate, maintain, and implement complex software, hardware, and peripheral equipment.
- Troubleshoot servers and network systems.
- Analyze and review applications, desktops, and network systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Train users on new or updated systems, and communicate software and procedure changes.
- Monitor and respond to system failures, perform security updates, and maintain system security standards.
- Diagnose and repair hardware and network issues; install, configure, and upgrade systems as needed.
- Prepare reports, logs, and documentation related to system performance and maintenance.
- Coordinate with other departments and contractors to resolve technical issues and plan improvements.
- Education & Experience:
- An Associate’s Degree or two years of college coursework in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and
- Two years of experience in information technology, database management, software configuration, troubleshooting, or a closely related field.
- Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Working knowledge of networks, operating systems, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Ability to train and support users effectively.
- Clear and professional communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- License: Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
