The Business Intelligence Manager defines and leads B&I Contractors' enterprise business intelligence strategy, turning complex operational data into trusted information that improves decisions, drives efficiency, and creates measurable business impact. This role owns the BI roadmap across data integration, warehousing, dimensional modeling, reporting, and analytics, with a focus on scalable systems rather than isolated dashboards.

This position combines technical expertise with leadership, business acumen, and change management. The Business Intelligence Manager partners with field and office stakeholders to understand how work is performed, challenge assumptions, define meaningful measures, and translate operational needs into usable analytics. The role oversees platforms such as Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, develops and mentors BI team members, and establishes standards for data quality, governance, and delivery.

Success is measured not simply by reports built, but by adoption, improved workflows, reduced manual effort, and stronger data-driven decision-making across the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Define and execute an enterprise BI strategy and roadmap focused on business value, cross-department consistency, adoption, and measurable outcomes
  • Lead discovery with department leaders and frontline users to understand workflows, identify root problems, and align analytics to decisions
  • Oversee BI architecture across Microsoft Fabric, SQL-based warehouses/lake houses, and reliable ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Establish dimensional models, governed semantic layers, standardized metrics, and reusable datasets that create a consistent view of the business
  • Integrate ERP, project, field, and financial systems using SQL, REST APIs, connectors, and automated ingestion processes
  • Direct Power BI dashboards and self-service analytics that improve visibility and replace manual reporting
  • Establish data quality, validation, documentation, access, ownership, and governance standards for accurate, trusted reporting
  • Inspire stakeholder engagement and adoption through demonstrations, training, feedback, and integration into everyday business workflows
  • Lead and mentor BI and data professionals, building technical capability, accountability, collaboration, and business understanding
  • Balance hands-on technical guidance with team priorities, delivery planning, scalable design, and long-term supportability
  • Partner with IT, executives, and operational leaders to communicate progress, tradeoffs, recommendations, and business impact
  • Measure solution usage, reliability, and outcomes; refine priorities as needs evolve and strengthen…
