Position: Claims Representative I- Lee County FL

Florida Farm Bureau, the state office for Southern Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company, is hiring a Multi‑Lines Claims Representative in Gainesville, FL. The role involves resolving damage and injury claims for insureds and offers a starting salary of $53,000 plus a company car. Benefits include health, dental, vision, PTO, extended illness leave, pension and matching 401(k).

Summary

Responsible for handling all multi‑line claims in the assigned territory to a proper conclusion.

Responsibilities
  • Investigate, validate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle all claims as assigned.
  • Submit reserve recommendations on assigned claims.
  • Communicate with the public regarding procedures, problems, and coverages.
  • Negotiate fair settlement with individual claimants or attorneys.
  • Maintain claim files and follow departmental reporting procedures.
  • Report risk reviews to the underwriting department.
  • Participate in training and continuing education courses as requested or required.
  • Prepare estimates on auto and property losses.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university.
  • Obtain adjuster’s license within 6 months.
