We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to take on entry-level supervisory responsibilities within the Courts & Official Records Department
. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on leadership, organization, and teamwork. As a Records Supervisor
, you will play a key role in planning, organizing, and directing the daily operations of the Court Records division. You’ll serve as a coach, mentor, and advocate for your team—ensuring smooth operations, motivating staff, and helping the department achieve its strategic goals.
- Supervise and support Court Records employees
- Monitor operations to ensure staff and processes are aligned
- Oversee team functions with quality control and assurance
- Interview, hire, and onboard qualified candidates
- Manage scheduling, coverage, and staffing needs
- Coordinate training sessions and evaluate progress
- Conduct team meetings and collaborate with supervisors, managers, and agency partners
- Review processes and recommend improvements
- Approve employee timecards and complete annual evaluations
- Provide recognition, feedback, and corrective action when needed
- Resolve employee conflicts and delegate tasks for growth opportunities
- Assist customers with complex or challenging issues
- Support special projects and uphold department policies
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent communication (verbal and written)
- Knowledge of legal procedures, accounting functions, and computer operations
- Organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and exercise independent judgment
- Professional demeanor, confidentiality, and tact in sensitive situations
- Proficiency with PCs, printers, and office equipment

- Associate’s Degree or two years of direct experience required
- Minimum of one year supervisory experience
- Four years of clerical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
