Under the general direction of the designated supervisor, performs administrative and supervisory duties in directing, administering and supervising the activities, operations and maintenance of aquatic facilities. Responsibilities include development, preparation and implementation of all aquatic‑related programs; and supervision of all aquatics staff. Responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons using the City’s pool facilities, and maintaining aquatic facilities to HRS standard.
Position functions with high degree of latitude in independent judgment, selection of personnel and decision making.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the City’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
