Trueline's client, an established commercial mechanical contractor serving Southwest Florida, is seeking a Senior Operations Leader
- Mechanical Services
to help lead and grow a business built on commercial new construction and service. This is a hands-on executive role for a proven mechanical leader who has bid, won, and delivered work with the region's major general contractors.

You’ll partner closely with the existing leadership team, take ownership of operations and growth, and help take an already strong business to its next level. The company has a growing backlog and real momentum, and it wants a long-term leader who is energized by being hands-on in running the business.

What You’ll Do as the Senior Operations Leader
- Mechanical Services:

  • Lead day-to-day operations across commercial new construction and service, with accountability for results, margins, and growth
  • Build and deepen relationships with general contractors, owners, and developers across Southwest Florida to grow the bid pipeline and win the right work
  • Oversee estimating, bidding, and pricing strategy on commercial HVAC and mechanical projects so the company wins work it can deliver profitably
  • Guide project execution from award through closeout, partnering with project managers and field leadership on schedule, quality, cost, and safety
  • Grow the commercial service business alongside new construction
  • Lead, develop, and hold accountable project managers, estimators, superintendents, and service leaders
  • Own financial performance, including budgets, job cost results, and profitability targets
  • Partner with existing leadership and executive ownership on strategy, hiring, and long-term growth plans
  • Strengthen the systems, processes, and reporting needed to support a larger business
  • Represent the company with customers, vendors, and industry partners

Must‑Haves as the Senior Operations Leader
- Mechanical Services:

  • Senior leadership experience in commercial HVAC or mechanical contracting, as a General Manager, President, VP or Director of Operations, Division or Branch Manager, or Senior Project Manager with significant operational responsibility
  • A proven track record of bidding, winning, and executing commercial mechanical work with major general contractors
  • Established general contractor and customer relationships in Southwest Florida and/or the Tampa Bay market
  • P&L responsibility for a business, division, or major portfolio of roughly $15 million or more in annual revenue
  • Experience leading sizable teams across project management, estimating, and field operations
  • Strong command of estimating, job costing, margin management, and project financials
  • A hands-on leadership style and a genuine desire to run a business day to day
  • Based in Southwest Florida or the greater Tampa Bay area

Nice-to-Haves as the Senior Operations Leader
- Mechanical Services:

  • Experience leading both construction and service operations in the same business
  • Florida Certified Mechanical Contractor or Class A Air Conditioning Contractor license
  • Experience growing a mechanical business through a significant revenue step-up
  • Experience in an acquired or investor-backed business, including growth and integration work
  • Experience building or upgrading operational systems, reporting, and leadership teams

Our Client Offers:

  • Potential equity participation
  • A hands-on executive role in an established business with a growing backlog and strong market tailwinds
  • Ownership focused on long-term growth, stability, and culture
  • A long-tenured team and a close-knit, family-style culture
