Electrical Engineering, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
The starting hourly wage for this role is $40.81/hr.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities- Possesses advanced knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and repair techniques for electrical controls, circuits, and systems.
- Possesses advanced knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and repair techniques for mechanical and pneumatic components and systems.
- Has advanced understanding of Allen Bradley PLCs, HMI, VFDs, and other automated controls.
- Understands ladder logic and can perform some PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Experience with robotics, robotic control, and integration is preferred.
- Performs advanced maintenance activities on production, processing, and plant equipment and systems.
- Knowledge of parts ordering as necessary.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently when required.
- Experience with forklift, boom lift, and scissor lift operation.
- Adheres to GMPs and safety guidelines.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Accurately completes all required paperwork.
- Willing to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime with shift flexibility.
- Operates equipment safely, maintains a clean work area, and follows GMP guidelines.
- Participates in meetings.
- Can operate basic shop tools such as drills, saws, grinders, and sanders.
- Provides coverage for other positions as needed.
- Supports creating a culture of safety and health by working safely and reporting unsafe conditions.
- Extensive experience with PLC programming supporting large, complex, proprietary programs.
- Understanding of HMI software and network communication systems.
- Knowledge of servo motor-based motion control systems, including motion controllers, servo amplifiers, motors, and feedback devices.
- Ability to troubleshoot device networks like DH+, Ethernet, and Remote I/O.
- Skills in configuring, calibrating, and troubleshooting various instrumentation such as flow, temperature, and pressure devices.
- Strong electrical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CMMS programs.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Own hand tools required to perform job duties.
