Operating Room RN Job Details – Fort Myers, FL

  Fort Myers, FL 33908 (Southwest Florida healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (August 25, 2025 – November 22, 2025)
• Shift: 12-hour days (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) with on-call required
• Guaranteed
  
  Hours:
  
  36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1820 - $1870
• Patient Population:
  Adult and Pediatric
• Setting:
  Operating Room – ENT, General, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, GYN, Ortho, Spine, Neurosurgery
• Electronic Medical Record:
  Epic

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Florida RN license preferred for local candidates)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) nursing experience
• Pediatric OR experience required
• BLS certification required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Degree accreditation must be on profile, or 5 years of experience required
• Ability to float to other units and sister campuses as needed
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (radius rule for travel nurse jobs)

OR RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in the operating room
• Assist with a wide range of surgical procedures: ENT, General, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, GYN, Ortho, Spine, and Neurosurgery
• Participate in on-call rotation (average 4 calls per month, including evening, overnight, and backup call)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other units or sister campuses as required for clinical support
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive unit culture
