Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with pediatric OR experience, BLS certification, and a valid FL or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Work in a hospital-based Operating Room setting caring for both adult and pediatric patients,

• Covers services including ENT, General, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, GYN, Ortho, Spine, and Neurosurgery,

• 12-hour day shifts scheduled Thursday 6:30 AM-7:00 PM and Saturday/Sunday 7:00 AM-7:30 PM,

• Call is required, averaging about four calls per month with a mix of evening, overnight, or backup call shifts,

• Floating required, including potential float to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes,

• Epic EMR used,

Job Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required,

• BLS certification required,

• Minimum two years of Operating Room RN experience required,

• Pediatric OR experience required,

• CNOR certification preferred,

• Degree must be from an accredited program unless the candidate can demonstrate at least five years of experience,

• Prior travel assignment experience highly preferred,

• Must reside outside a strict 50-mile radius from the facility,

• Driver's license address must match the Board of Nursing records,

• Participation in care for a wide range of surgical specialties in a multidisciplinary team,

• Travelers are expected to function as core staff and are welcomed into unit culture,

• Orientation includes remote training with required in-person badge/p on Fridays,

• Must be comfortable being the first to float within the system as needed,

• No block scheduling requests are permitted,

• All time-off or schedule requests must be submitted prior to consideration; none will be approved afterward,

• Scrub requirements not specified-confirm during onboarding,

• COVID and flu vaccination documentation may be required,
