Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with pediatric OR experience and a FL or compact RN license for a varied surgical caseload.

Job Details

• Position is in the Operating Room serving both adult and pediatric patients,

• Cases include ENT, general, vascular, endovascular, robotics, dental, GYN, ortho, spine, and neurosurgery,

• 12-hour day shifts scheduled Thursday and Friday 6:30AM-7:00PM and Saturday 7:00AM-7:30PM,

• On-call is required with a variety of shifts, averaging 4 calls per month including evening and overnight coverage,

• Floating to other operating rooms or sister campuses required with travelers floating first,

• Uses Epic EMR system,

Job Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required,

• Current BLS certification required,

• Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing experience required,

• Pediatric operating room experience required,

• CNOR certification preferred,

• Degree from an accredited nursing program or 5 years of experience required,

• Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred,

• Must meet a strict 50-mile radius rule from perm address for eligibility,

Additional Information

• Responsible for providing perioperative nursing care for adult and pediatric surgical patients,

• Team-based environment where travelers are expected to function as core staff,

• Orientation starts on Fridays with a combination of remote and onsite sessions,

• Must comply with facility document deadlines prior to start,

• All RTO or schedule requests must be provided prior to consideration,

• No block scheduling requests will be accepted,

• Expect to cover a variety of surgical service lines during the assignment,
