American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 19-bed high-acuity unit requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and prior travel assignment experience.
Requirements- Active FL or compact RN license required
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course completion required
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course and EFM certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Nursing degree accreditation must be documented, or candidate must have 5 years of experience
- Driver's license address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing
- 19-bed Labor & Delivery unit
- 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
- Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:1 for high acuity patients
- On-call requirement of 12 hours within a 6-week scheduling period
- EMR system used is Epic
- Floating required, with travelers prioritized to float, including to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the facility
- Provide direct patient care to high-acuity Labor & Delivery patients
- Travelers are expected to fully integrate and function as core staff within the unit
- Scrub colors required are Galaxy Blue and/or White
- Orientation begins on a Friday, requiring in-person presence for badge/, with remainder completed remotely
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront, as it will not be approved after start
- Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to start with no exceptions for pending documentation
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility, with strict enforcement of this requirement
- Candidates must not own or co-sign property within the 50-mile radius
- Full-time local housing within the area is expected for the duration of the assignment
