PCU​/Stepdown Registered Nurse; RN Fort Myers, Florida

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Exciting temporary nursing opportunities are available in Progressive Care/Stepdown Units designed to address seasonal increases in patient volume. Multiple shifts are coming up over the next several weeks, with start dates extending through January. Positions are open for skilled Registered Nurses who specialize in Stepdown or Progressive Care (PCU).

• Mostly night shifts, with some day shifts available
• Options for 36-hour and select 48-hour workweeks

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• Minimum one year of recent experience in Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) settings
• Strong clinical skills in monitoring and responding to rapidly changing patient conditions
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Must not live in or own property within 50 miles of the facility location

• Provide direct, high-quality patient care to adult populations requiring close observation and advanced nursing interventions
• Monitor patient status, administer medications, and manage care for patients transitioning from critical to lower-acuity levels
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in patient conditions promptly
• Deliver education to patients and families regarding post-acute needs and ongoing care

$2,270 - $2,394/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
