Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician - Fort Myers, FL

What We Do

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:

  • Treat each patient and customer with compassion and care.
  • Perform basic to intermediate nursing care tasks, including monitoring, triage, and medication administration.
  • Manage intravenous fluid therapy, blood transfusions, and other critical care procedures.
  • Participate in patient rounds, CPR training, and diagnostic sampling (in-house and point-of-care tests).
  • Perform advanced procedures such as ultrasound, paracentesis, and advanced vascular access.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to formulate treatment, anesthetic, and nursing care plans.
  • Supervise and mentor veterinary assistants and nurses to maintain high standards of care.
  • Contribute to hospital growth through training, community outreach, and leadership opportunities.
What We Need
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT). VTS certification preferred.
  • 1+ year of veterinary technician experience, emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
  • Basic computer skills for practice management and electronic medical records.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
  • Fine motor skills and physical ability to stand, kneel, lift up to 25 kg solo, and 40 kg with assistance.
  • Team‑player mindset, honesty, respect, and positive attitude.
