Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Entry Level Installer who will be part of the installation pool to support the construction of fire alarm, security, access control, voice/data, and any other low voltage systems that Dyna Fire provides its customers.
Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints of low voltage systems and understand their relation to building layouts.
- Install components that make up low voltage systems such as smoke detectors, pull stations, video cameras, door contacts, etc.
- Drill holes for wiring in wall studs, joists, ceilings, floors, and other structural members.
- Feed cables through access holes, roof spaces, wall cavities, conduit, j-hooks, bridle rings, and similar passages.
- Adjust sensitivity of devices or set addresses of devices.
- Mount and fasten control panels.
- Test and repair circuits and sensors by following wiring specifications and system diagrams.
- Inspect installation sites, study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine material requirements and installation procedures under the supervision of a project manager or foreman.
- Test batteries, keypads, annunciator programming, notification appliances, and security features to ensure proper functioning and diagnose malfunctions.
- Acquire and maintain required tools on the tool list.
- Learn to use fish tape, ohmmeters, power drills, and screwdrivers.
- Meet installation deadlines as specified by the project manager or foreman.
- Accurately track time daily via Exak Time.
- Comply fully with company and customer safety programs and policies.
- Adhere to all Dyna Fire policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Dyna Fire.
- Be able to travel out of town if required.
- Memorize and apply the Dyna Fire 8 Core Values and Mission Statement.
- Understand that the position is essential to delivering successful Dyna Fire systems for our customers.
- Obtain NICET Level I certification within 12 months.
