This position is responsible for providing operational support in reconstruction efforts for clients. Qualified candidates must have extensive carpentry experience and the ability to work independently. The role involves assisting with scope development alongside BELFOR Estimators and managing projects autonomously. An Intermediate Carpenter will contribute to the development of basic level carpenters. Objectives include expanding capabilities from residential to commercial and multi-family projects, leading and performing emergency services, and increasing proficiency in various carpentry subsets such as framing, cabinetry, and trim.

This is a Level 3 position in the Progressive Carpenter track.

• Identify potential problems and seek guidance when necessary.
• Answer project-related questions and escalate complex issues appropriately.
• Move and protect contents without damage.
• Create containment for dust, dirt, and contaminants.
• Perform flood cutting, salvage, and labeling of baseboards, cabinets, and doors using proper tools and methods.
• Complete shrink wrap training and projects.
• Identify insulation types, thickness, and R-values.
• Apply skills in trim, doors, cabinetry, insulation, framing, acoustical ceilings, roofing, and siding.
• Conduct vehicle safety and maintenance checks.
• Maintain attention to detail and uphold property safeguarding standards.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Work within deadlines, including nights and weekends, and travel as needed.
• Accurately report work hours and materials used.
• Attend safety and operations training.

• Supervise unskilled labor, entry-level employees, and subcontractors in residential settings.
• Answer basic project questions and escalate when appropriate.
• Maintain equipment used in daily tasks.
• Perform emergency services such as board-ups and securing buildings.
• Perform other duties as required.
