As a
Sr. Developer (C/C#/Java/SQL) at Gainwell, you will be a part of an innovative healthcare technology company with a mission to serve the healthcare needs of our communities. You will use your programming and analytical skills to drive the development of healthcare administration products used, and relied upon, by millions of patients. - Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents moderately complex programs.
- Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code and technical documentation.
- Designs systems and programs to meet complex business needs.
- Prepare detailed specifications from which programs are developed and coded.
- Ensures programs meet standards and technical specifications; performs technical analysis and component delivery.
- Gathers information from existing systems, analyzes program and time requirements. Assists project manager in preparing time estimates and justification for assigned tasks.
- Designs programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs.
- Writes specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity.
- Assists support and/or project personnel in resolving moderately complex program problems.
- Works with clients and management to resolve issues and validate programming requirements within their areas of responsibility.
- Provides technical advice on complex programming.
- Develop test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs.
- Conducts quality assurance activities such as peer reviews.
- Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code and technical documentation.
- Remains abreast of industry technical trends and new development to maintain current skills and remain current with industry standards.
- 6+ years of applications development, programming and testing with:
- Languages:
C (on Unix/Linux) OR C#/.Net/Java; SQL; writing scripts in Shell environments is a plus - Database:
Familiar with RDBMS structure (Oracle preferred; SQL server or DB2 also acceptable) - Overall understanding of Medicaid concepts/functional areas (Claims, Provider, Financial, etc.)
- Knowledge of any rules engine (inRule preferred)
- Familiarity with GenAI, Machine Learning, and/or Prompt Engineering is a plus
- Languages:
- Fully remote opportunity with the option to work anywhere within the United States
- Opportunities to travel through your work (0-10%)
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and travel as required
- Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation

The pay range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
