Job Description:

We are looking for an Assistant Fleet Maintenance Manager who will work closely with our Fleet Maintenance Manager to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of our fleet vehicles. The ideal candidate will have previous leadership experience, strong technical skills, and a desire to grow within our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the fleet maintenance department.
• Coordinate with the Fleet Maintenance Manager to schedule and prioritize vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Supervise maintenance technicians and ensure that all work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Conduct regular inspections of fleet vehicles to identify issues and implement preventive maintenance measures.
• Assist in managing inventory of parts and supplies to ensure timely repairs and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repair history.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in fleet maintenance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in automotive technology, mechanical engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Previous experience in fleet maintenance diesel repairs
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
