Dishwashers at O'Charley's

Location:

Pay: $14.00-$14.00

Job Summary

Join our team as a Dishwasher to support a fast‑paced kitchen environment, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene while working with coworkers and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and break down dish machines, including arms, screens and baskets.
  • Clean, polish, and maintain dish machines, removing paper and hosing down interiors.
  • Check that the machine is operating correctly, reporting any defects immediately and following preventive‑maintenance procedures.
  • Wash and store all dishes, small wares, and glasses in the correct locations.
  • Presoak, rack, and wash silverware according to O'Charley's procedures.
  • Check water temperature during dishwashing to ensure proper temperature.
  • Check for trash (silverware, ramekins, etc.) with a Manager, remove trash from the dishroom, and dispose of it in the dumpster.
  • Clean and sanitize garbage cans and keep liners in the cans.
  • Keep the dishroom and detergent storage area neat and continuously keep floors dry.
  • Work as a team with all O'Charley's team members, especially Line Cooks, to maintain a clean kitchen area and efficient food service.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by a Manager.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Dish machine operating procedures and silverware procedures.
  • Preventive maintenance measures and standards.
  • Proper chemical usage and cleaning procedures.
  • Guest interaction and communication skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Speak and understand the primary language of the work location.
  • Stand for long periods and move from area to area in the kitchen.
  • Exert fast‑paced mobility for periods up to five hours in length.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, lift, and carry pots, pans, and other items up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Learn dish operating procedures and be subject to wet floors, temperature extremes, and loud noises.
