We are seeking an Assistant Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing invoices related to the company’s income and expenses. This role is also responsible for maintaining accurate records of the accounting transactions and resolving discrepancies as they arise. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

This position reports to the Bookkeeping Manager and can work with other members of the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in an accounting role
• Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Understanding of Accounting Principles and double-entry accounting, and general ledgers
• Accounting software experience, preferably Quick Books, is required
• Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skill,s and organizational skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Experience working with multiple companies on a daily basis is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Receive and process vendor invoices
• Create customer invoices and receive payments
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions
• Experience in researching and resolving any discrepancies that may arise
• Experience reconciling multiple credit cards each month
• Ability to set up and maintain vendor files and process year-end tax documents

Software:

• Quick Books Desktop and Online
• Excel – Ability to create spreadsheets
• Bill and Tallie experience would be an added advantage
