Family Development Specialist – Autism Spectrum Disorder

Compensation: $90,000.00 – $ annually

Job Overview

The Family Development Specialist supports clients and families by developing and implementing treatment plans, providing therapeutic interventions, and linking clients to necessary services. The role requires effective communication, regulatory compliance, thorough documentation, and active recruitment of new referrals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate care with the treatment team and Clinical Supervisor.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapeutic interventions and skill‑building activities as outlined in the treatment plan.
  • Participate in weekly Treatment Team meetings.
  • Link clients and families with specific services and resources identified in the treatment plan.
  • Serve as a liaison with other professionals, agencies, and community resources.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions and progress notes in compliance with policy and regulatory standards.
  • Actively recruit new referrals to maintain a full caseload.
  • Provide 24/7 on‑call support for clients as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all state regulatory bodies and COA standards.

    Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or a related field (required).
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with children and/or families, including internships or volunteer work.
  • Experience with autism spectrum disorder and trauma‑informed care preferred.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
