Job Summary :

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is seeking PRN Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our team in our main Emergency Department in Fort Pierce and free-standing Emergency Department in Vero Beach.

Qualified Candidates

• Must be board certified or board eligible thru the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM)
• Must have Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Must have completed an EM Residency and Board Certified within 5 years
• Must be able to work 24 hrs. per month.
• Covers Vero Beach Free Standing Emergency Department

Emergency Department Profile

• Level II Trauma Center
• 100,000 ED visits per year
• 42-bed ED including 5 fast track plus 5 monitored beds
• 3 trauma bays, including 1 pediatric
• 2.0 pph
• 70 hours total of physician coverage (main ED and Peds ED incl)
• 60 hours of APP coverage
• 26% admission rate
• Comprehensive Stroke facility with bi-plane
• Interventional cardiac cath
• Code ice facility with therapeutic hypothermia capability
• Several dedicated ED glide scopes and ultrasound
• 24-hour inhouse Hospitalist and Intensivists
• No floor code or consult responsibilities

services, maternity, Level III neonatal services, pediatric intensive care services, minimally invasive

surgery and open-heart surgery. HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is home to a freestanding ER in

Vero Beach and Breast Center in Tradition.
