Emergency Medicine Physician

ED Capacity:

• 42 total beds, including 5 fast-track and 5 monitored beds

• 3 trauma bays (1 pediatric)

• Coverage:

• 70 hours total physician coverage (Main + Peds ED)

• 60 hours APP coverage

• Admission Rate: 26%

• EMR:
  Meditech, Pdoc, Dragon dictation

• Specialty Resources:

• Comprehensive stroke facility with biplane

• Interventional cardiac cath lab

• Code ice facility with therapeutic hypothermia

• Dedicated ED glide scopes & ultrasound machines

• Hospital Support:

• 24/7 in-house hospitalists & intensivists

• No floor code or consult responsibilities

  Clinical Expectations

  • Emergency Department patient care (adult and pediatric)

  • Coordination with trauma, cardiology, neurology, and intensivist teams

  • Procedures as required in a Level II Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center setting

  Requirements

  • Board Certification: ABEM required

  • Training: EM Residency trained (Required)

  • Licensure:
    Active FL license (or eligibility)
