We offer inpatient and outpatient mental health care, crisis units, learning resource centers, transitional housing, substance abuse and detox services, case management, family support, and community education. Position Summary
To provide emergency mental health and substance abuse evaluations, crisis intervention, and appropriate dispositions for individuals presenting at the Emergency Evaluation Unit in severe and acute distress.
Schedule
12 noon to 10 pm shift.
Essential Job Functions
- Conduct emergency evaluations for clients as assigned, following agency protocols.
- Ensure 24/7 coverage through monthly scheduling.
- Provide emergency interventions and appropriate dispositions.
- Document interventions comprehensively, including referrals, outcomes, and modalities used.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, education, mental health counseling, or psychiatric nursing.
- Complete a course in emergency screening prior to or within three months of starting the role.
- Valid Florida Driver's License with 6 points or less in the last 5 years.
