PB Gelcoat​/Build Technician

Position: PB Gelcoat/High-Build Technician
Key Objective:

* Successfully spraying of prepared plugs and master patterns for the plug/master prep and mold lamination teams

* Maintain schedule and quality

Job Specific

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Conduct daily tests for equipment calibration and operation

* Tape and prepare plugs and master patterns for spraying

* Make sure that plugs and masters are clean with no contaminates before spraying

* Set up, operate, and shut down gelcoat/high-build guns and pumps. Clean spray guns

* Spray gelcoat in an even mil thickness. Know each part's mil requirements

* Maintain all booths and equipment clean neat and organized, at all times

* Conduct daily routine maintenance of booths and equipment

* Record material date and batch numbers

* Ensure all operations are performed safely

* Maintain all areas and keep equipment clean, neat, and organized at all times

* conduct daily routine maintenance of equipment

* Store all materials safely at the end of the day

* Conduct operations using TDC mold fabrication approved processes (ISPC)

Proficiencies:

* Fully understand gelcoat/high-build component coating equipment maintenance and use

* Spray booth operation and maintenance

* Use of quality assurance equipment, mil gauge, etc.

* Composite fabrication

* Spot repair techniques
