Overview

Retail Sales Associate - 2887 l-time position offering hourly pay plus commission. Pay rate ranges from $15.00 to $18.00 per hour with an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the store team to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business. The role greets, engages, and assists customers with sales, loans, and other transactions, handling a variety of merchandise including tools, electronics, jewelry, and potentially firearms in FFL locations.

The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity.

• Greet and interact with customers to build rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures.
• Keep the sales floor clean and stocked and maintain merchandise displays.
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items per policies and procedures.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Explain the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers; contribute to a positive customer experience.
• Complete required training and perform other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties for extended periods (standing, bending, walking, etc.).
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (as applicable).
• Must be at least 18 years old;
  High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Strong customer service orientation, teamwork, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Cash handling experience preferred; computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems.
• Flexibility to work across multiple locations and a schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

• Standard store hours are typically 9 AM to 6 PM; many stores are closed on Sundays.

• Vacation: 1 week after six months, additional week after 1 year, 2 weeks on each anniversary thereafter; 120 hours after five years (adjusted for state/local requirements).
• Sick/Personal time: 8 hours after 6 months; 16 hours each anniversary years 2-5; 24 hours after five years (adjusted for state/local requirements).
