This position supports the National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Office of Secure Transportation (OST / NA-15). NNSA is a semi‑autonomous entity under the Department of Energy (DOE) that supports the Department of War’s nuclear weapon enterprise.

Drive Instructors shall demonstrate and possess the proper experience, qualifications, and certifications. Instructors may be assigned both a primary and a secondary training duty to support training requirements as needed. For example, an instructor may be assigned primary duties as a Drive instructor and a secondary duty as firearms/marksmanship instructor. Instructors will also be subject to strenuous training activities that require a high degree of physical fitness that allows the individual to work in a broad range of training environments and conditions.
The contractor shall provide instructors to support OST’s Tractor‑Trailer Drive training with three years of experience driving with a CDL and no preventable accidents. Drive Instructors shall gain and maintain a CDL of the state where Drive Instructors’ duties are required.
Drive Instructor must have three years minimum experience in their respective areas and will have demonstrated knowledge of the concepts, principles, techniques, and practices of the disciplines in their respective areas. Will interface with federal supervisors and federal training staff.
Skills:
Tractor‑Trailer Drive training with a minimum of three years of experience driving with a CDL and no preventable accidents.
Required Certification:
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) (preferably Arkansas).
- BIT – Certification through DOE or FLETC
- Controller Training – OST‑Specific Training
- Certification in First Aid
- Certification in CPR
- Certification in AED
