Position Details
:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in addition to general inpatient clinical responsibilities, requiring collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to provide specialized nutrition care for premature and critically ill neonates. The dietitian will also play a key role in identifying and managing adult malnutrition across hospital units, contributing to quality improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with evidence-based clinical guidelines and regulatory standards.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Clinical Dietitian (FT) to join our Nutrition Team in an acute care medical center in Fort Smith, AR.

Key Responsibilities
:

• Provide medical nutrition therapy including nutrition assessment, diet modification, nutrition education, and intervention for the patient population
• Follow all guidelines outlined in the Company Diet Manual and the Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual
• Comply with regulatory standards (federal, state, accrediting bodies) while maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• Train and mentor patient services staff and interns as applicable
• Participate in patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility-wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs

Qualifications
:

• Registered Dietitian credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• State licensure as required in the practicing state
• One year of hospital experience preferred
• Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office, electronic medical records, diet office systems, and nutrient analysis software
