Job DescriptionWe are seeking a courteous and efficient Veterinary Practice Manager to coordinate all office administration. Responsibilities include ordering, inventory management, scheduling, conflict resolution, staff training, answering owner questions, and ensuring smooth operations.
Job Duties- Recommend staffing adjustments and support personnel decisions.
- Provide on‑the‑job training, performance appraisals, and corrective guidance.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and, when necessary, terminate staff.
- Promote the hospital at local and regional events.
- Address employee complaints and maintain policy communication.
- Support doctors and staff, aligning actions with practice philosophy.
- Maintain patient records and enter veterinary orders accurately.
- Collectarness from owners, schedule appointments, and relay clinical instructions.
- Resolve owner complaints quickly.
- Develop and manage employee work schedules.
- Demonstrate leadership, communication, and motivation skills.
- Apply unbiased judgment in personnel matters.
- Answer telephone calls politely.
- Implement inventory control, monitor supply and controlled substances.
- Support hospital policies, including DEA/Controlled Substances and OSHA.
- Ensure accurate, timely payroll processing.
- Build vendor relationships for support and pricing.
- Notify staff of emergency cases promptly.
- Interview candidates and provide training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Veterinary Practice Manager with at least 1 year management experience or 3+ years veterinary experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of veterinary terminology and hospital operations.
- Compassionate, calm, team player, multitasker, strong communicator.
- Highly organized with computer skills.
- Self‑starter eager to advance knowledge and skillset.
- Open availability and flexibility for schedule changes.
