Public Area Attendant

The Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel's public areas, including the back of house areas.

• Clean and maintain the hotel lobby, meeting space, public restrooms, and public areas of the hotel.
• Clean and maintain the appearance of surrounding areas of the hotel, including sidewalk, branch awning poles, signage, entrance, and alley.
• Deep clean assigned areas including shampooing of rooms and public areas, window washing, hotel light fixtures, and guest elevators.
• Clean and maintain the back of the house area, including employee break room, hotel laundry room, compactor area, and employee restroom.
• Check and replenish supplies and cleaning tools.
• Greet each guest in a friendly and professional manner.
• Respond quickly to guest requests in a timely and friendly manner.
• Follow procedures for entering and leaving guest rooms.
• Return lost items found in guest rooms, hallways, or back of the house to the Housekeeping department as lost and found.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1–3 months related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; occasionally sit; regularly lift and/or move up to 10–15 pounds, frequently up to 20–30 pounds, occasionally more than 35 pounds; specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, adjust focus.
