Job DescriptionThis role utilizes analytical skills to create a comprehensive estimate of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims leading to the proper disposition.
National General Insurance is seeking a Field Auto Claims Adjuster to support our Kansas region. Join our high-performing auto claims team where your estimating expertise, customer focus, and sound judgment shape every outcome. The ideal candidate is located within a 50-mile radius of the service areas listed below (Conway and Fort Smith) and can travel throughout the region to support our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Applies thorough understanding of regulatory compliance and fair claims practices
- Builds established relationships with both internal and external customers
- Exhibits proficient estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses
- Processes a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company
- Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the file within escalated authority limits
- Field inspections on vehicle, total loss evaluations, negotiating with repair shops, some desk review, virtual assist. Reviewing approximately 5 claims per day
- 3-5 years of body shop estimator experience
- Insurance experience
- Ability to work additional hours during catastrophe
Base compensation offered for this role is $26.20 - $39.02 annually and is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) as applicable for the role.
