Overview

Hytrol Conveyor Company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to support production and continuous improvement efforts across operations. This entry-level role provides hands‑on experience in process analysis, tooling design, and manufacturing optimization. The Manufacturing Engineer I works closely with experienced engineers to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency while learning and applying Lean principles in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and implementing manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling to improve production efficiency
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop solutions that improve safety, quality, and throughput
• Support daily production issues and troubleshoot efficiency or quality concerns
• Conduct time studies, process documentation, and workflow analysis
• Participate in layout changes and facility improvements
• Contribute to Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement events
• Create and update standard work instructions and visual aids

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (required)
• Internship or co‑op experience in manufacturing preferred
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Excel
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a desire to learn and grow
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools
