We are currently looking for a Chemical Blender/Operator to join our team in Fort Smith, AR

- Transfer base resins to make blends in process tanks to proper specifications by following procedures and instructions, including transferring resin to and from tanks. Maintain logs, paperwork, and weigh/measure chemicals/additives for batches.
- Dispose of all hazardous and contaminated refuse per plant procedures.
- Ensure hazardous waste shipments comply with government laws and regulations, including labeling and drum condition; maintain logs and paperwork for shipments.
- Safely handle numerous liquid and solid raw materials used in blending, following established procedures and instructions with appropriate PPE.
- Utilize scales and measuring devices to make proper additions to batches for color or tinting and apply safety protocols for additives.
- Manually add bags of raw materials to base resin batches and control temperature and mixer speeds per procedures.
- Safely drive a forklift to move drums/pallets and perform daily forklift checks.
- High School Diploma with basic math and science skills.
- Previous chemical manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical activity (continuous standing, walking, climbing stairs, etc.).
- Experience with mechanical equipment; ability to operate pumps, compressors, etc.
- Must successfully complete on‑the‑job training.
- Ability to work a 40 to 50 hour week (4 AM start) with some OT and potential Saturday work.
- Must be able to obtain certification to drive forklifts; on‑site training provided.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (30‑75 lbs.).
- Basic word processing, spreadsheet, and SAP experience is desirable.
- Ability to wear required PPE (full-face respirator, hard hat, steel‑toe footwear, eye protection, gloves) as needed.
- Starting Pay: $20.15/hr; 12% bonus potential
