Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. - Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts
- Expected
Hours:
Approximately 40 hours per week - On-Call Requirement: Participation in a backup on-call rotation, including weekend coverage as needed
- Coverage Area: Northwest Arkansas, including Sebastian, Logan, Crawford, Franklin, Scott, and Yell counties
- Dress Code: Gray, navy blue, or black scrubs
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas or a qualifying compact state
- At least 1 year of professional RN experience; hospice, home health, or community-based nursing experience is strongly preferred
- Associate degree in nursing or higher
- Ability to provide compassionate, independent skilled nursing care in patients’ homes
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and patient documentation skills
- Willingness to travel throughout the assigned Northwest Arkansas coverage area
- Availability to participate in the backup hospice on-call rotation
- Provide skilled nursing care to hospice patients in their homes and community settings
- Complete patient assessments, monitor changes in condition, and implement individualized hospice plans of care
- Coordinate care with patients, families, caregivers, physicians, and the interdisciplinary hospice team
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with the plan of care and applicable clinical standards
- Educate patients and families about symptom management, medications, comfort measures, and available hospice support
- Document assessments, interventions, care coordination, and patient responses accurately and promptly
- Respond appropriately to patient and family concerns while promoting comfort, dignity, and quality of life
- Participate in on-call coverage and communicate significant clinical updates to appropriate members of the care team
