Responsibilities
- In this role, you will assist doctors during exams and outpatient care by providing proper patient restraint, triaging incoming patients, and collecting and analyzing laboratory samples.
- You will also support treatments and diagnostics, including assisting with radiographs, administering medications as directed including injectable medications, and providing nursing care for medical and hospitalized patients with varying levels of stability.
- Strong organization, forward thinking, and teamwork are essential to keeping appointments running efficiently.
- This position involves regular client interaction, including answering questions, assisting with appointment scheduling and payments as needed, and helping create a welcoming and professional experience for every client and patient.
- This role requires the ability to work in a clinical environment with exposure to unpleasant odors, noise, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases, as well as the risk of bites or scratches.

Qualifications
- An experienced Veterinary Assistant with a minimum of 1-year experience preferred
- Compassionate Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
- Must be able to properly restrain pets
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs unassisted
- Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset
- Proficient in sample collection including blood draws, processing laboratory tests and radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring are a bonus
- Pay: $13-15/hr depending on experience
