Quality Manager (Manufacturing exp req) DescriptionOur client is seeking a Quality Manager to lead plant-wide quality systems and results at their Fort Smith, AR facility. You will be responsible for the quality program end-to-end, ensuring consistent processes, strong internal controls, and measurable improvement across operational KPIs. You will lead audits, manage nonconformances, drive corrective actions, and coach and mentor a small quality team while partnering closely with operations and leadership.
Success requires ISO 9001 experience, root cause problem solving, strong leadership, and advanced Excel skills to drive measurable reductions in cost of quality. Ideal candidates are proactive leaders who take ownership, follow issues through to closure, and thrive in environments where quality directly impacts customer trust and profitability. QualityManager (Manufacturing exp req) Responsibilities
- Own and continuously improve the site Quality Management System
- Plan and execute internal audits and support external audits
- Establish inspection, testing, and documentation standards
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities
- Reduce scrap, rework, and customer complaints
- Track and report quality KPIs and trends to leadership
- Manage customer quality issues and formal responses
- Maintain records, procedures, and quality documentation
- Coach, develop, and oversee a small quality team
- Partner with operations to improve process stability
- 3+ years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment required
- 2+ years of direct people leadership experience required
- Experience leading internal and external audits required
- Root cause analysis and corrective actions experience required
