Overview

Cox Communications is looking for a Retail Sales Associate who creates memorable customer experiences and drives sales in a part-time retail environment. This role requires working some evenings, weekends, and holidays, reporting to a Store Manager and following guidance from the Assistant Store Manager and other team Specialists. The position is in-store, with no remote option, and may require mobility within the store and potential work at other nearby Cox locations.

Compensation: hourly pay and incentive targets vary by location and experience. The posting includes multiple example total compensation ranges for part-time roles, with base hourly rates and monthly targeted commissions. An annual incentive/commission target is included, with ramp periods for commission earnings where applicable. Benefits and other compensation details are provided in the benefits section.

Responsibilities
  • Explain and demonstrate Cox product capabilities; offer recommendations based on customer needs.
  • Meet or exceed targets for customer experience, sales, and retention.
  • Assist with opening/closing of the store environment and properly handle cash.
  • Participate in workshops, special events, and product demos; support fellow sales agents as needed.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of Cox products and competitor offerings through training; may work at other nearby locations.
Qualifications
  • Minimum: HS diploma/GED or up to 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to meet sales, retention, and customer experience targets; strong interpersonal and communication skills; consultative, solutions-based selling.
  • Ability to build relationships with a diverse customer base; multi-task in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
  • Mobility to be in-store for long periods; computer literacy and aptitude for learning products and services.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays; ability to lift 25-50 pounds.
  • Preferred: some college, experience in sales/retail/service, and fluency in Spanish.
