Tow Motor Operator; Material Handler

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Tow Motor Operator at our Toronto manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for safe operation with a forklift as well as other labour duties. Work is conducted in a normal production environment with exposure to temperature changes and safety hazards associated with general labour.

• Safely operate a clamp/fork truck
• Material handling of foam blocks from plant areas to department lines
• Operate baler and bale trim
• Ensure quality control specifications are met
• Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained
• Other duties as requested by management

• Ability to drive a forklift/clamp truck or ability to obtain license
• No experience necessary however, some would be an asset
• Able to interpret and work with numbers and measurements
• Able to lift between 20 – 40 lbs. comfortably
• General understanding of PPE and use
• Adaptable and flexible for any change of daily tasks
• Communicates effectively with employee inquiries or comments
• Strong organizational and time management skills considered an asset
• Ability to work under minimal to no supervision
